yep...that was the subject of an email sent to me from my dear friend. now, i know i'm not the skinniest thing around, but i'm getting back into the size i'd love to be...i'm almost fully there!! so why on earth would my friend feel the need to send me this. i don't even really eat fries! hmm...
so i open it up with high hopes that there is some kind of weird fact about what they put in those fries we all love from fast food places. or maybe someone found a finger or something. remember when all of that was happening? i know this friend is really quite a funny one so surely that is what it is all about.
i'm bracing myself for a great laugh, when nope...nothing funny here!! just a nice friendly reminder that my lab reports are finally in (did i mention this friend is my doctor who ordered a blood draw a month ago and that i finally went last week?) and the cholestoral count is a little too high. so he will kindly discuss with me the "natural" options i have!! doesn't that sound exciting!!!!?!?!?!!?
about 6 years ago my doctor found high blood pressure and high cholestoral in me. i can't imagine why?? but anyways - it is there...so after being put on no exercise and a strict diet we lowered my cholestoral and the blood pressure stablized...until we were at 34 weeks with princess. then my bp was off the charts for good...so about 10 months ago my kind friend/doctor suggested i try the dashdiet for bp. and it works - really works. so i very rarely take the medicine anymore!
BUT it looks like the dash diet has not lowered the cholestoral or could it be the candy i sneak from time to time...or the desserts i enjoy a little more often...hmm...either way i get the pleasure i'm sure of once again giving up anything that has any flavor whatsoever!!
the highlight...last time i lost 12 pounds in 4 weeks!! not a bad side effect!!!

Does your mom have high cholesterol? My dad did..they say it can be hereditary and when it is it's hard to keep down.
