YEAH!!!! FINALLY!

we are all so excited for a few days of REAL fall!!!!!
isn't she cute? i have a few good shots of my kiddos and thought i'd take a minute to brag on them...today i'll start with princess.
she is beautiful and full of her own sense of style. as you can tell from the 2 toned red shirts to the pink and white fun hair ties. she is finally growing a front tooth! this girl is full of life and definitely enjoys it. she reads constantly. it is fun to watch her read. if there is a picture, she always stops to study it. then, when she gets to a funny part she laughs out loud. when she reads out loud it is with full drama...such a joy!
she is doing well in school. definitely excelling in academics and loving the social life. in fact last night she threw herself on her bed and declared she didn't fit in because we don't have the same tv shows as her friends. oh brother....but she has made lots of friends this year.
princess recently cheered at our high school football game. she is a trooper as it was about 35 degrees, wet, and very windy. but she got out there and shook her hips like the best of them!
we enjoy watching her develop her gift of writing, drawing, and photography! yes, she does them all really well and frequently. just ask, we'd be happy to share her collection with you!
i love this girl!

I LOVE this picture of Chloe. like, REALLY love it! By the way, I didn't even notice the red shirt with pink/white hair bows. She's just Chloe and it works for her! :)

the "calling"

okay - so it's been awhile since i've ranted...and it's time! it is beautiful outside and i'm sitting inside my makeshift office at the church. i am lucky enough to have a door that opens to the outside so it is wide open and i'm loving that. but as i'm working here today i feel the need to rant so enjoy.... being in my position i often have to ask people to help out. you know, volunteer to teach or work in the nursery or teach or hang out with the kids, you know - volunteer! i love all the responses i get. i am particularly fond of the "i don't like kids one" - it doesn't go over real well with me when they have 3 of their own. hmm??? but the one that really gets my goat is the "i don't feel called to that." argh...really!?!?!!?!? well, i didn't feel called to wipe my kids bottoms either, but it is a good thing i did it anyways. surprisingly, everyone feels called to the waterpark though! now, let me back up a ...
