...my hubby left his job! and a year ago, while totally supportive and completely thrilled to have him no longer employed where he was, i was a total wreck about him sitting in my space! oh yeah...it was quite the issue. but after a few short months we got into a groove and i love having my hubby home!
this has been an amazing year. honestly, i expected some trials. some times of doubt. i'm not sure why, we were both so sure this was what God was calling us too, but i guess even in that assurance there was room for doubt. but God has been so good and faithful and so real. imagine that?
so i love my hubby, i've established that several times...and in honor of his one year he wanted to have a big party. then changed his mind to something a little later in the season. but we found ourselves childless on that monday evening and i hinted at wanting an old-fashioned date! i didn't say much other than - just a good old fashioned date that we didn't have to come home at a certain time and weren't running errands!
have i said i love this guy? i headed up to his office (currently located about 1 foot from our bed!) and he said if we left at 4:30 we could grab dinner at panera, catch either the proposal or public enemy, and grab some coffee! woo hoo!! this is my man!
so we got ready and took off. i love panera and enjoyed sitting across from my amazing man. on our way to the theater, he asked which i wanted to see. now, honestly, i've wanted to see both. part of me was ready to just give into public enemy - which like i said, i know i'd love, but then the giddy girl on a date popped up and said the proposal!! he smiled and off we went!
it really was a good movie. hubby thinks someone always dies in romantic comedies but noone died here. just good love story....after coffee we headed to lowes. not really sure what we were going to lowes for, i just giggled. i was still alittle giddy. so once inside he headed to the plant section. after recently reading that you should have a house plant for every 100 sq feet of house he went wild and we now have plenty of interesting plants. one in each room!
so, a year has passed, and i'm thankful that i still love my husband, that we have grown even closer together, and well, that when i need to run to the grocery store - the kids can stay home with him!
honestly, i had no idea where this year would take us, but i'm so glad we hopped on for the ride!
