this is why i took so long

i was always thinking this would take up so much of my time...well let's see. it is not quite noon yet and what have i done? well, i did take mapboy to school today. he has a summer birthday so his teacher so kindly assigned may days for them to celebrate. so since i had to drive him instead of put him on the bus, princess and i went on to the church to work on vbs. then home again. i checked my email, felt the pressure from my dear cousin, and sat at the computer for the next 90 minutes. oops...i forgot i have to pick mapboy up. grap princess and off we run! thankfully we live just 2 minutes from school. get back home. too excited to see if it worked..so log on again and here i sit. another 45 minutes has passed and i'm still playing around with it. never mind that the dishes need put away, the laundry started, my kids are beggin for lunch, princess just watched 3 episodes of dora, the dog wants inside, and hubby will walk in the door in about 5 minutes to have lunch....

i love it all!!!!!!!!

Right there with ya, Back Door! I've already ignored dessert with the kids, bedtime while Daddy read to the little ones, and the morning news. I gave up MATT LAUER to play with my new blog. I NEVER thought I'd do that in a million years. Welcome to the crazy world, from another newbie like you :)

Now if we could just find a way to make some money blogging---then our husbands wouldn't mind us spending 1 or 3 or 8 hours a day "tending" to our blogs.


I just keep telling him that my blog is my "mission field." That usually works unless he doesn't have any clean underwear.

the "calling"

okay - so it's been awhile since i've ranted...and it's time! it is beautiful outside and i'm sitting inside my makeshift office at the church. i am lucky enough to have a door that opens to the outside so it is wide open and i'm loving that. but as i'm working here today i feel the need to rant so enjoy.... being in my position i often have to ask people to help out. you know, volunteer to teach or work in the nursery or teach or hang out with the kids, you know - volunteer! i love all the responses i get. i am particularly fond of the "i don't like kids one" - it doesn't go over real well with me when they have 3 of their own. hmm??? but the one that really gets my goat is the "i don't feel called to that." argh...really!?!?!!?!? well, i didn't feel called to wipe my kids bottoms either, but it is a good thing i did it anyways. surprisingly, everyone feels called to the waterpark though! now, let me back up a ...
