my daughter took this picture....i look pretty good for getting older! here i am celebrating my 4th birthday - 31 years ago today! funny how i so remember the table cloth, green pitcher, dishes, and hot pads. i have had some great birthday's in my life. i remember my mcdonald's birthday complete with the talking tree. i remember the first slumber party and how awful it was! i remember birthdays with my dear friend that shares the day with me. i remember my college friends dragging me out of bed at the most horrific hour in the morning to treat me to breakfast for my 21st. i also vividly remember the birthday 12 years ago. i was a little bummed. played some pool with a friend and had a few glasses of "cranberry juice." then i proceeded to spot this guy i found cute because of how he made his morning coffee at the coffee shop i worked at. well, i literally came literally running out of the children's department to chase him down. he didn't really recognize me, b

i'm feeling a little nostalgic this weekend..... i was grand champion with my chocolate crinkles as a first year 4Her.... i can't believe i went to the state fair in a one piece romper.....goodness who knows where this is, but i was proudly wearing my school colors! okay, sunken gardens, but i don't know where that is. fishing with my big sister! i don't have a clue where we were, but i look proud of that fish coloring easter eggs...sometime before 1980...my dad had hair, my mom just sold those canisters, and i was pretty cute huh?

now, before i really begin let me just say that i actually find this all quite funny. there is humor within this - really, you should have seen me earlier:) so, yesterday i posted on my facebook status that my battleship had been sunk. and it had, today, well, it sunk a little further! let me recap for you....i woke up and for whatever reason(hubby claims hormones) i was a grump. just kind of angry i guess, but not really. do you ever feel that way? the kids had a 2 hour delay on their first day back to school after 2 weeks! seriously, a 2 hour delay already??? actually, that was fine. they slept in and it was a rather peaceful back to school event. then i sat down for a few minutes and realized that 2 weeks of having my kiddos home resulted in a lot of unfinished work. ugh....so i loaded up my stuff rather agitated with myself and a few others. driving to work i jammed out to some good old 80's music. love that stuff... get to work and get even more frustrated. i&#
