the back door

yet oh so right... i have been blessed with many incredible friends through the years. they have all left a mark on my life in one way or another. yesterday, (i tried to get this up yesterday - technical difficulties) was one of my oldest best friends birthday. we met in jr. high and hit it off. oh the things we did - we made up dances to livin on a prayer, anything paula or tiffany or debbie gibson, wore matching clothes. and pretended to be baby on dirty dancing. we even had the bff necklace that was broken in 2.....come on how many others out there had those! we had a blast - then she moved.....not too far but far enough that over time we lost touch. from time to time we would get an address for the other and connect very briefly. i always remembered her birthday - june 17. it is the same date as mine - just 5 months later. i guess some things just never fade from my mind. then came facebook - and she appeared there! while i still haven't talked to her face to face si

so we are about 2 weeks into spring break - more like 1 1/2 but close enough:) and honestly, it's been pretty fun! here's what we've been up to... ...princess learned to ride her bike with 2 wheels. mapboy decided his was too small and yes, it really is! he went around the block by himself for the first time - big step for this momma! ...swam at dear friends ...played with some other wonderful friends, us moms enjoyed coffee ...mapboy attended basketball camp where he sharpened some of his skills. ...hubby moved his office to the bedroom for some piece and quiet - it sure is quiet up here:) ...hubby picked up several more jobs - yippy!! ...visited with graduates at open houses. watched our niece graduate! ...spent a lot of time at the church getting vbs ready - the kiddos have been so good with that ...started summer chores around the house ...princess had her first piano lesson - and she can play 3 songs already! much better than her earlier versions! ...picked several bu
