they're here!!!!

this is not how i left my house this morning. in fact, i wanted to take a picture of kitchen set-up #2. it was really quite a nice set-up my hubby did! very functional and i was pleased.



but i came home this afternoon to my kitchen being moved to the dining room and boxes everywhere!!!!!!!

as you can see....the cabinets are in and some are going up RIGHT NOW!!!



isn't she pretty? i can turn each shelf by itself. look there are four drawers in the picture. i am used to only 1 drawer....what will i ever do with so many drawers?



see those boxes above....i think i'll be able to start putting them away - maybe even tonight, although with idol, the olympics, and a very important mom's morning talk to prepare the box emptying may just have to wait!



if you look closely you can find the red trim paint we sampled....i can't wait for the full effect
ahh.....did i mention the countertops won't be installed until the 27th at the earliest and that i'm not without a kitchen sink? but you know what???? i don't care....i have kitchen cabinets! plus dinner is on pizza hut tonight:)

it looks great!!! you guys have gotten so much done. what are you talking about tomorrow? geesh...i could have gone to that too had i been able to get myself up north. praying it goes well!

wow...it is changing so fast! i can't wait to sit down in that new dining room and have some coffee with my dear friend :) i think i just invited myself over, hee hee!

is your kitchen painted yet? it looks almost yellow in the picture...but the connecting wall into the dining room looks woodsmoke. am i turned around, and don't realize it?

the "calling"

okay - so it's been awhile since i've ranted...and it's time! it is beautiful outside and i'm sitting inside my makeshift office at the church. i am lucky enough to have a door that opens to the outside so it is wide open and i'm loving that. but as i'm working here today i feel the need to rant so enjoy.... being in my position i often have to ask people to help out. you know, volunteer to teach or work in the nursery or teach or hang out with the kids, you know - volunteer! i love all the responses i get. i am particularly fond of the "i don't like kids one" - it doesn't go over real well with me when they have 3 of their own. hmm??? but the one that really gets my goat is the "i don't feel called to that." argh...really!?!?!!?!? well, i didn't feel called to wipe my kids bottoms either, but it is a good thing i did it anyways. surprisingly, everyone feels called to the waterpark though! now, let me back up a ...
